With The Vision In Mind.

The purpose of this essay is to help me remember the vision that captivated me at the beginning of Agapi and to convey this vision to users of Agapi.

The vision is this: A young man or woman will sit at the edge of their chair on a day they are feeling lonely and they will decide they are ready to find a partner. They will pick up their phone and download Agapi. Then, they will answer a set of engaging questions on Agapi (in voice or text). And they will have no barrier to their matches because its free to signup and  their profile will be shown to everyone who like people like them. The only barrier being their willingness to pay to speak with their new found mutual match.

        To pick up the phone as the first step to finding a life partner is a profound idea. Without much reflection, one might look down at this possibility. However, we cannot look down on the idea that it takes years for people to find their life partner. During this search are hours in throes of loneliness; time wasted on companions and not potential life partners; and temptations to pursue short term relationships. Agapi's mission is to shorten this period significantly.
